Lead Software Engineer (Typescript/Next.js) (m/f/d)

We're looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our high-performance team at our Düsseldorf office. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing robust, scalable web applications that power one of the largest automotive leasing marketplaces in Europe.

Requirements

• Strong experience with TypeScript and modern React / Next.js
• Experience with server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and API routes in Next.js
• Solid understanding of performance optimization, caching, and CDN strategies
• Solid understanding of component-based architecture, state management, and modern web APIs
• Deep knowledge of software design principles (e.g., SOLID, DRY, KISS)
• Passion for clean, testable, and maintainable code
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and agile development practices
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge and best practices
• Experience with or openness to PHP (Laravel) is a big plus
• Experience with cloud platforms (especially AWS) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus
• Experience with Tailwind CSS is a plus.
• Experience leveraging AI, Generative AI (GenAI) to enhance engineering productivity, automate repetitive tasks, and optimize workflows.
