Job Description
Augury is seeking an IoT Embedded Linux Engineer to design, build, and own the software stack powering its next-generation edge devices. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of embedded Linux experience shipping devices to production at scale.
Requirements
- Design, build, and own the software stack powering next-generation edge devices
- Develop resilient Linux-based systems, from bootloader to application
- Ensure secure and reliable cloud connectivity
- Collaborate closely with hardware, manufacturing, and backend teams
- Develop user-space applications in C++/Go/Rust (or similar)
- Implement core device logic, leveraging modern frameworks and libraries
- Implement secure OTA update pipelines (Mender, RAUC, SWUpdate)
- Harden devices for production security
- Deliver robust connectivity across Ethernet, Wi-Fi, cellular (LTE), and BLE gateway roles
- Implement secure protocols: MQTT/HTTPS, TLS, VPN/WireGuard
- Instrument devices for field diagnostics using journald, metrics/health checks
- Contribute to production tooling and support manufacturing workflows
- Drive CI/CD pipelines for cross-compilation, automated testing, static analysis
- Enforce coding standards, documentation, and testing rigor
