Senior Advisor - Government Affairs

Auckland Airport is seeking a Senior Advisor - Government Affairs to coordinate and execute the airport's government relations strategy. The role requires strategic thinking, relationship building, and effective communication to support engagement with government entities and stakeholders. It's a temporary, full-time position until June 2028 with flexible work arrangements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in political science, Public Administration, Communications, Economics, Law, Business, or a related field or level of experience
• 3-5 years of experience working within the government sector
• Strong understanding of the political process and how decisions are made across the public sector and within Parliament
• Strong stakeholder relationships and excellent relationship-building skills
• Previous experience in a corporate government affairs role (advantageous)
