Medical Insurance Collections Associate

This is a Medical Insurance Collections Associate position that involves filing insurance claims, managing patient accounts, and answering account status inquiries. The role requires excellent judgment, dependability, and conscientiousness, as well as the ability to work cooperatively in group situations and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Computer skills with Windows Operating System, e-mail, and data entry experience
• Prior experience with medical billing software (preferred)
• Three to five years in insurance billing
• Excellent judgment, dependability, and conscientiousness
• Demonstrated high ethical standards and integrity
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness
• Customer and patient service orientation
• Ability to work cooperatively in group situations
• Patient centered care focused
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Knowledgeable of Medicare and Medicaid billing and reimbursement concepts and principles
