The Medical Dispatcher II is a vital part of the Emergency Medical Services Department, responsible for the safe assignment of resources to patients needing urgent care. The dispatcher utilizes multiple communication systems and CAD systems to efficiently prioritize calls and coordinate with other teams, while maintaining high-quality customer service. This role involves critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Effectively prioritizes and assigns emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Maintains accurate and timely tracking of units and company vehicles.
• Expedited review trip requests and scheduling schedules.
• Conducts status checks on crews and escalates concerns appropriately.
• Proficient in using CAD Dispatch systems and data entry.
• Follows all policies and procedures of the Federal Communications Commission and the New Jersey State Department of Health.
