Environmental Aide I - FT (7:00am-3:00pm) MMC

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full-Time Environmental Aide I for the Environmental Services Department at Morristown Medical Center. The role involves maintaining clean facilities and equipment, responding to page requests, and handling bio-hazards. Responsibilities include floor cleaning, sanitation, and restocking, along with reporting any repairs to maintenance. The position includes bodily fluid handling.

Requirements

• Utilizes appropriate cleaning equipment in cleaning all nursing units, patients' rooms and all other designated facility areas.
• Follows department's policies and procedures on cleaning, disinfecting and deodorization.
• Cleans up major spills and responds to pages in a timely manner.
• Keeps abreast of changes in environmental services by attending monthly department meetings.
• Handles moderately complex issues and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
