Utilities Locator

We are currently recruiting for a Utilities Locator. The Utilities Locator is responsible for performing under general supervision, this position is responsible for locating and marking water distribution system infrastructure.

Requirements

• Reads and interprets engineering drawings, site and utility maps to identify the location of related pipes, meter boxes, water services or structures that require marking coordinates with contractors and other utility system locators at excavation sites to assist in locating water assets.
• Maintains equipment and supplies as needed
• Disposes of empty paint cans in accordance with the Environmental Protection Agency requirements.
• Ensures the safety of City equipment, private property, and others by following proper safety procedures.
• Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems
• Participate in staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars as assigned.
• Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures, to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
• Efficiently performs duties as assigned and works as a team within division and company.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
