Job Description
Astera Labs is seeking a Principal Firmware Engineer to architect and develop firmware and microcontroller subsystems for their upcoming products. This role is customer-facing, focusing on understanding and meeting customer needs. The role involves implementing core features and ensuring the firmware team contributes to a scalable and flexible system.
Requirements
- Strong academic and technical background in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Science engineering.
- At least 5 years’ experience supporting or developing complex SoC/silicon products.
- Experience developing firmware to execute in on-chip microcontrollers as well as C-language software development kits (SDKs).
- Experience working with logic designers to architect and verify HW-SW interfaces.
- Professional attitude and ability to prioritize tasks, plan meetings, and work with minimal supervision.
- Entrepreneurial and open-minded thinking with a customer-focused approach.
