Naval Steel Worker - Technical Trainer

ASR International Corp. is seeking a Naval Steel Worker Technical Trainer to organize, maintain, and equip Naval Construction Regiments (NCRs), Naval Mobile Construction Battalions (NMCBs), the Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit (CBMU), and the Underwater Construction Team (UCT). The STT will train Seabees in steel fabrication, welding, and related skills. This role requires industry-recognized building codes and standards, and involves developing and refining training modules for the Navy Occupational Standards (NOS).

Requirements

• At least 8 years’ experience in a construction/trade occupational field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an instructor, or as a construction Crew Leader/Project Supervisor.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a favorable determination from a National Agency Check Local Agency and Credit check (NACLC) investigation.
• High school diploma or equivalent, General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software (MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-Outlook, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Project) knowledge of NAVEDTRA manuals and construction standards.
• Willingness to spend substantial time in a field training environment.
