Custodian

This is a part-time custodial position at an Aspire Benjamin Holt Middle School. Aspire Public Schools operates a network of high-performing, college preparatory charter schools serving TK-12 scholars in communities across California. Our purpose is to prepare our scholars for success in college, career, and life.

Requirements

• Cleans classrooms, restrooms, hallways, multipurpose room, offices, staff lounge and all interior and exterior areas of school.
• Sets up and cleans the dining area before, between, during and after breakfast and/or lunch periods.
• Responds to emergency cleanups during the day, such as clogged drains and spills.
• Performs minor routine maintenance, including replacing lights, changing filters, etc.
• Performs minor routine grounds-keeping duties, including picking up litter, weeding, mowing the lawn.
• Reports required repair work to proper parties.
• Sets up and arranges furniture for assemblies, meetings and special events.
• Maintains awareness and readiness to respond to safety/security needs of students, staff and facilities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of, and support, the Aspire Public Schools mission, vision, value statements including antiracism, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
