Job Description
The Business Advisor (Korean Speaker) role at Renaissance involves building relationships with small businesses, generating loan applicants, pre-screening applications, providing coaching, and monitoring loan performance. The advisor will serve clients in the NY Metro Region (New York City, Long Island, Mid-Hudson Valley, and New Jersey), offering financial guidance and support to small business owners, particularly within immigrant communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fluent in both English and Korean.
- 2+ years of experience in small business counseling and/or lending.
- Formal or informal experience managing a small business.
- Excellent knowledge of local businesses and resources in New York City, Long Island, Mid-Hudson Valley, and New Jersey.
- Strong analytical, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Commitment to the confidentiality of sensitive materials and information.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly gain knowledge of local businesses and resources.
