Job Description
Ascendis Pharma is seeking a Medical Director to lead drug development for rare conditions within the endocrinology and rare diseases portfolios. This role involves designing and executing clinical trials, monitoring patients, analyzing data, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The position reports to the VP, Clinical Science, Endocrine and Rare Disease Medical Sciences.
Requirements
- M.D. degree
- Ph.D. degree (strongly preferred)
- Hands-on experience treating patients
- At least 10 years of industry experience
- Strong track record of scientific and clinical inquiry
- Excellent communication skills
- Sound judgement
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and learn quickly
- Fluent in English
- Up to 20% travel
