Senior Back End Software Engineer (TS/SCI) {S}

ARKA Group L.P. is seeking a talented and motivated Back-End/Services Software Engineer to join their dynamic development team. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing modern Java and Python microservices within a modern orchestration and cloud environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• At least 5 years of experience with Java
• Foundational experience with Java and/or Python in a professional setting
• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with lightweight frameworks such as Quarkus or Spring Boot
• Comprehensive testing experience, including unit tests (e.g., JUnit), system tests, and integration tests
• Proficiency with various data storage solutions (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, AWS or Azure cloud storage services)
• Experience implementing and managing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines. GitLab CI/CD is preferred, but Jenkins experience is also acceptable
• Proficiency with Maven, Gradle, and NPM
• In-depth knowledge of and practical experience with standard AWS managed services (S3, ECS, EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, OpenSearch)
• Strong knowledge of GEOINT (Geospatial Intelligence) data collection and distribution paradigms
• Ability to effectively work within a software engineering team
• Ability to work in office full time
• Active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance
