Job Description
Ardmore Roderick is seeking a Lead HVAC Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will lead mechanical engineering design, own HVAC scope, schedule, and deliverables, and provide technical documentation for permitting authorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Illinois
- Minimum of seven years of experience in HVAC mechanical engineering design
- Strong working knowledge of the City of Chicago Building Code, Illinois Plumbing Code, Illinois Energy Conservation Code, ASHRAE standards, IMC, NFPA, IECC, SMACNA, and LEED guidelines
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD for mechanical design
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with proven ability to lead client discussions and coordinate across disciplines
