Job Description
Arcus Biosciences' Small Molecule Drug Substance Development and Manufacturing group plays a key role of developing efficient synthetic chemical processes for the manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs or Drug Substances). The intern will work under the supervision of experienced team member(s) to carry out tasks related to the evaluation of synthetic organic reactions related to the drug substance process development.
Requirements
- Enrolled as full time graduate student pursuing either MS degree or PhD degree in Organic Chemistry
- Has completed core course requirements for MS or PhD degree and ready to start graduate level research
- At least one semester research experience that is focused on experimental work in chemistry lab
- Fully familiar with common analytical and separation techniques such as flash column chromatography, NMR, HPLC and LCMS
- Proficient in required software including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ChemDraw
Benefits
- Intern Hourly Rate (based on degree level): $25 (Bachelor’s Degree in process), $30 (Bachelor’s complete/Master’s in progress), $35 (PhD all in process – remote internship), $45 (PhD all in process or complete – onsite internship)
