In Vivo Pharmacology Intern

The Pharmacology Department at Arcus Biosciences is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and curious summer intern to join our In Vivo Pharmacology group. This internship provides hands-on experience in preclinical drug discovery and development, exposure to in vivo model design, execution, and data analysis to support the evaluation of novel therapeutic compounds.

Requirements

• Assist in the design, preparation, and execution of in vivo pharmacology studies in accordance with institutional and regulatory guidelines (IACUC)
• Support compound administration (e.g., oral, IP, IV) and perform routine animal observations and health assessments
• Collect biological samples (e.g., blood, plasma, and tissues) for downstream analyses
• Assist with sample preparation, data entry, and organization of study documentation
• Participate in ex vivo sample preparation and analysis
• Participate in data analysis and interpretation, including graphing using software such as GraphPad Prism or Excel
• Prepare and deliver a final presentation summarizing study results, methods learned, and key takeaways from the internship experience
