Job Description
Arconic is seeking a Staff Scientist, Lubrication and Tribology to join their Rolled Products North America Team in New Kensington, PA. This role focuses on developing and supporting lubricant and surface technology for aluminum forming/fabrication processes, contributing to research and development efforts focused on optimization. The ideal candidate will provide technical expertise to support operations and lead multi-disciplinary projects.
Requirements
- Develop and execute technical projects in the area of tribology.
- Solve complex tribology (lubrication and surface) problems and implement solutions in operations.
- Design, develop, and implement lab and pilot scale test equipment.
- Conduct physical and chemical tribology and lubrication tests.
- Interpret and evaluate data from testing/experiments.
- Complete written reports, presentations, and/or IP documentation.
- Travel may be required occasionally.
