Job Description
Applied Materials is seeking a Materials Project Management professional to join their team in Bangalore, India. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing new products, reducing costs, and ensuring supply continuity. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to define sourcing strategies and collaborate with suppliers to qualify parts and mitigate lead times.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical or Electronics)
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in sourcing, program management, and supplier management
- Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics commodity experience
- Prior experience in sourcing, negotiation, dual sourcing, and supplier management
- Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods & commodities as related to product and cost structure
- Ability to read and interpret BOM's
- Excellent people and presentation skills
