Job Description
Buyer II (Display Fab) - (B2) responsible for negotiating pricing and other terms of purchase, managing strategic suppliers, and expediting the timely receipt of materials. The role also involves coordinating purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments, leading problem resolution, and developing methods of business simplification.
Requirements
- Negotiates pricing and other terms of purchase
- Manages strategic suppliers with over $10M in spend and suppliers with field activities
- Quotes materials and procures materials, components, equipment, and services at the lowest cost
- Expedites and ensures timely receipt of materials
- Works with engineering and MPM or SCM to recommend new suppliers
- Develops methods of business simplification for the procurement function
