As the Director of Software Engineering for ASE, you will lead and inspire a world-class team of software engineers to build and deliver secure solutions underpinning large-scale services at Apple. You will be a key member of the security leadership team, responsible for setting and executing the strategic vision for software security across all of Apple Services Engineering, ensuring security is a fundamental consideration throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 15+ years of software engineering experience
- 10+ years in leadership roles
- Proven ability to scale engineering teams and deliver high-impact projects
- Strong background in distributed systems and cloud-native architectures
- Experience at various layers of the application stack
- Deep knowledge of secure development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and secure coding practices
- Ability to guide teams in integrating security and quality into development
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Deep knowledge of security frameworks and identity and access management
