Job Description
As a CPU Implementation Engineer at Apple, you will collaborate with micro-architects to define micro-architecture and optimize design feasibility, power, performance, and area (PPA). You will drive RTL-to-GDS design convergence through logic and RTL optimizations and be responsible for block-level design delivery. The role involves working closely with CAD, PD methodology teams, and x-functional top-level teams on floorplan, timing, power, reliability, and testability aspects of CPU design, as well as collaborating with custom IP teams.
Requirements
- Experience in TCL or Perl
- Logic design and digital circuits knowledge
- Familiarity with high-performance CPU microprocessor architecture
- Experience in using industry-standard logic Synthesis, PnR, STA and Power analysis tools
- Experience with floor-planning, pin-placement and timing budgeting
- Ability to work well in a team
- Self-motivated
- Excellent communication skills
