The Driver/DSP is responsible for safely transporting passengers with developmental disabilities in ASC vehicles, following pre-determined schedules and adhering to traffic laws and safety rules. As DSP, the individual provides care and support to residents, including feeding, bathing, and administering medication, as well as participating in IDD programming and training.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Florida Motor Vehicle license and automobile insurance with good driving record
- Knowledge of state and local traffic laws, ordinances, and regulations involved in the operation of vehicles
- Ability to safely operate ASC vehicles and equipment efficiently
- Knowledge of developmental and intellectual disabilities
