Swim Lesson Instructor/Swim Coach

The Y is seeking qualified Swim Lesson Instructors/Coaches to create positive experiences for children through swimming instruction. The role focuses on promoting the potential of youth, improving health and well-being, and maintaining safety in the pool. Responsibilities include implementing program activities, ensuring safety, and recording attendance, as well as maintaining certifications and professionalism.

Requirements

• Must be at least 15 years of age.
• Prior swim lesson experience preferred.
• Current CPR and 1st aid training required or ability to obtain in the first 60 days of employment.
• YMCA of the USA Swim lesson instructor certification required OR ability to obtain with in the first 90 days of employment
• USA Swimming coaches’ safety training required OR ability to obtain within the first 90 days of employment
• Proficiency in swimming and safety skills is required.
• Must possess a cooperative spirit committed to character development.
