Anchor QEA is seeking a full-time senior coastal engineer to help lead our west coast project teams with coastal engineering, flood resiliency, and water resources projects. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience with coastal engineering, including hydrodynamic and/or hydraulic numerical modeling experience.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. degree in relevant field (e.g., Coastal, Ocean, Civil or Environmental Engineering)
- 10-15 years of experience
- Experience with coastal engineering and flood resiliency evaluations
- Experience with hydrologic, hydraulic, hydrodynamic, and/or water quality numerical modeling
- Understanding the application of engineering principles for engineering design, including cost estimating, and development of plans and specifications
- Experience in project and program management including developing and managing scopes, detailed schedules, budgets, and sub-consultants
- Proficiency in MS Office
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience a plus
- ArcGIS experience a plus
- Python experience a plus
- Critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain one within two years
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (preferred; will be provided by Anchor QEA upon hire if not certified)
