Job Description

The Specialty Pharmacy Technician will act as onsite triage for identified patients and prescriptions, including specialty prescriptions, to facilitate authorization, reimbursement and dispensing of medications.
Requirements
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Manage multiple patients with diverse needs autonomously
- Adhere to compliance requirements and regulations
- Assist in prior authorization process by gathering necessary documentation
- Communicate effectively in-person, via telephone, and in other electronic communication
- Document pertinent patient information professionally and succinctly in patient chart
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication
- Participate in training of new staff
- Stay updated with latest developments in practice area
