Job Description
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking an Unattended Ground Sensors (UGS) Specialist to join their team in client technical support and training. The role involves maintaining and maintaining unattended ground sensors, performing inspections and repairs, providing technical assistance to team members, and collaborating on sensor deployment missions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with UGS systems and a commitment to safety.
Requirements
- Active CBP BI or TOP SECRET clearance
- U.S. Citizenship
- Associate’s degree in electronics, telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent military/law enforcement training.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with unattended ground sensors (UGS) or similar technologies.
- Technical knowledge of various UGS types (seismic, acoustic, infrared, magnetic, microwave, and electronic).
- Proficiency in sensor collection, processing, and data transmission.
- Knowledge of wireless communication, encryption, and security.
- Knowledge of best practices for sensor emplacement, site selection, and concealment.
- Willingness to travel and be deployed for extended periods.
- Physical endurance and ability to perform demanding tasks.
