Job Description
American Oversight is a nonpartisan, nonprofit watchdog championing the public's right to government records. They use litigation and strategic partnerships to fight attacks on democratic institutions and hold officials accountable. The Director of Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives will lead the organization's external engagement efforts, establishing relationships with key stakeholders to expand influence and amplify impact.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in a nonprofit, advocacy, or government setting.
- 5+ years of experience working at the intersection of elections, voting rights, civil rights, or U.S. politics or public policy.
- 3+ years of experience directly managing early-career staff, setting performance expectations, and fostering professional growth.
