The QA Lead is responsible for ensuring product safety, quality, and compliance on the harvest and fabrication floor through monitoring, auditing, and documenting any conformities and nonconformities.
Requirements
- Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities for the Quality Assurance department and works closely with local and regional USDA/FSIS authorities, customer’s representatives (if needed), and auditors.
- Update, maintain, and implement pertinent regulatory documents and records, product specifications, and quality assurance records.
- Enforce and monitor animal welfare and quality programs for products manufactured.
- Monitor the acceptance criteria for our product and control the disposition of nonconformance.
- Assist with assuring all products produced in the plant meet or exceed customer requirements for quality.
- Provide leadership for the Quality Assurance department while developing and maintaining effective employee relations.
- Responsible for crewing, scheduling, and training of Quality Assurance employees.
- Participate in plant management and operational meetings.
