Job Description
The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) is seeking an Associate Director, Clinical Informatics and Data Science to manage and integrate clinical and genomic data for Project GENIE, a publicly accessible international cancer registry. This role focuses on data harmonization, compliance, pipeline development, collaboration, and data insights. The candidate will bridge technical data requirements with clinical research needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Advanced degree preferred
- 2-3 years of team management experience
- 5-7 years in clinical data informatics/oncology research/healthcare data management
- Experience with oncology datasets
- Experience with real-world data (RWD) is highly desirable
- Strong proficiency in data integration tools and platforms, programming languages, and cloud-based data environments
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, GCP), and cancer genomics repositories
