Job Description
Altana is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of their cloud-native production services. The role involves hands-on engineering, focusing on system reliability, automation, monitoring, and incident response within a collaborative team environment. This position emphasizes a deep understanding of observability and proactive problem-solving.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or equivalent
- Strong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles
- Expertise in designing, implementing, and managing observability platforms
- Proficiency in programming/scripting (e.g., Python, Go)
- Extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Experience with IaC (Terraform, OpenTofu, CloudFormation)
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, OpenTofu, CloudFormation)
- Knowledge of modern software delivery paradigms, including microservices architectures and CI/CD pipelines
