Responsible for the utilization and balancing of all resources on shift to ensure efficient shift productivity while maintaining full adherence to safety and quality. Develops and grows shift employees in areas of behavior, communication, productivity, and career progression.
Requirements
- Review and analyze daily production data to improve productivity and first time quality
- Communicate with maintenance, die shop, quality, and scheduling teams
- Participate in accident/incident investigation processes
- Develop and grow shift employees
- Participate and lead regular performance evaluations and coaching opportunities
- Review and adjust manpower requirements
- Conduct daily verifications of attendance system and manage employee timesheet approvals
- Address employee concerns
- Monitor press production and ensure necessary support and tools are available
- Hold employees accountable on daily metrics and performance
- Ensure quality and reduce/eliminate out of spec material produced
- Set up next shift for success by ensuring smooth continuation of production
- Review metrics at end of shift and fill out production matrix
- Manage call-ins and ensure manpower for next shift is balanced and fully staffed
- Issue work requests to Maintenance team and manage unplanned downtime
- Monitor workflow and ensure good housekeeping practices are observed
- Support compliance with Quality management policies and procedures
- Participate in NCR root cause investigations
