The Season 80 Production Assistant is a non-union member of the stage management team, actively assisting and supporting during pre-production, rehearsals, performances, and production-related meetings and events as determined by the Production Managers and AEA Stage Managers.
Requirements
- Attend daily rehearsals and performances as assigned.
- Assist the AEA Stage Managers in performing assigned tasks required during the pre-production, rehearsal, and performance processes.
- Work alongside stage managers, Stage Ops Supervisor, and Wardrobe Supervisor assisting with running and coordination of rehearsals and performances as assigned.
- Assist Literary department with script management as well as production script management on new works.
- Assist Production Management on assigned projects.
- Assists Associate Production Manager on maintaining Stage Management spaces, including inventory and upkeep of rehearsal hall and supplies.
- Attend full staff meetings, Organizational Cultural and Wellness meetings, as well as professional development opportunities as available.
- Study and understand the LORT collective bargaining agreement with Actors' Equity Association (AEA), the union of professional actors and stage managers.
- Adhere to the Alley Company policies, including any and all safety policies.
- Receives First Aid/CPR/AED training and is able to assist in First Aid emergencies.
- Assist Production Management with maintaining prompt book archive.
- When not assigned to a show, serve as tech support and swing for other PA tracks.
- If needed, serve as Young Cast Coordinator on assigned productions
- Additional duties as assigned.
