Overhire Scenery Artist

The Overhire Scenery Artist is responsible for painting all scenic elements for productions under the supervision of the Scenic Charge Artist. The position requires knowledge of painting techniques, color mixing, and safe handling of hazardous materials.

Requirements

• Knowledge of painting techniques and color mixing
• Ability to read and interpret working drawings and renderings.
• Preferred knowledge with safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, energized and quickly changing environment.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work independently and as a team player.
• Detail oriented, able to prioritize efficiently and multi-task.
• Prolonged periods of standing and bending
• Ability to regularly move and lift 30-50 lbs.
• Regular ladder and MEWP (Personnel Lifts) work at heights up to 30 feet
