Vehicle Mechanic

The Vehicle Mechanic position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of University vehicles and equipment, and the transport of students and others in a safe and pleasant manner. The position is covered by the CSEA, Local 749 union contract and requires a high school diploma and two years of experience as a mechanic or an associate's degree in vehicle repair.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Two years of experience as a mechanic
• Associates degree in vehicle repair
• NYS Driver License
• CDL with Passenger endorsement
• NYS Inspection License for up to 18,000lbs
• Cutting, welding, and fabrication skills
• Scan tool diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Computer skills such as excel, operating general software, email, and creating files to record service and repair work
