Cloud Operations Administrator

Cloud Operations Administrator supports the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of Alarm.com’s multi-site data center and cloud infrastructure. This role involves system monitoring, incident response, and operational support for both private and public cloud platforms. Responsibilities include technical work and collaboration with various teams to ensure high availability, security, and compliance.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of experience in private cloud environments
• Familiarity with hyper-converged infrastructure and multi-site architectures
• Working knowledge of Windows Server (SCCM patching, clustering, DHCP, DNS, AD)
• Experience with VMware stack (vSphere, Horizon/VDI, Aria Suite)
• Basic Understanding of storage systems (NetApp, Pure Storage)
• Experience with monitoring tools (commercial and open source)
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Ansible
• Familiarity with backup/recovery solutions (e.g., Rubrik)
• Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., Jira)
• Working knowledge of Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS)
• Ability to work in Agile teams and take initiative in problem-solving
• Hardware installation, diagnostics, and upgrades
• Manage structured cabling and maintain accurate documentation
• Support out-of-band management and coordinate equipment logistics
