Job Description
Akicita Federal is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmacy services at Gallup Indian Medical Center (GIMC) in Gallup, New Mexico, which is located on the border of the Navajo Nation. The Pharmacist will screen, verify, and dispense medications, provide patient education, and collaborate with clinical teams to ensure safe and effective drug therapy.
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (BSPharm) from an accredited institution
- Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in any U.S. state or territory
- Minimum of 1 year of recent pharmacy experience (IHS or hospital experience preferred)
- Proficient with pharmacy systems and EHR platforms
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and clinical decision-making
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must pass federal background check and credentialing process
