Software Engineering Manager - Uplisting

Uplisting is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead the performance, growth, and cohesion of their engineering team. The role involves fostering a collaborative environment, overseeing day-to-day operations, and providing hands-on guidance to individual contributors.

Requirements

• 6+ years of engineering leadership experience, leading high-performing teams
• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
• 4+ years working with Ruby/Hanami (or other Ruby-based frameworks)
• 3+ years of infrastructure experience (Heroku and/or AWS)
• Significant, relevant hands-on engineering experience plus team leadership experience
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to delegate with trust and empower teams to succeed
• Strong understanding of business drivers and how engineering decisions impact
• Ability to maintain strong relationships in a multicultural-diverse environment
• Comfort working with remote teams and contractors
