Job Description
Agnico Eagle is seeking a Welder, Mine Maintenance to join the Mine Maintenance Team at the Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining mine equipment and promoting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.
Requirements
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams
- Perform FCAW, GMAW, GTAW, Oxyacetylene and other types of weld based on project needs
- Experience with Carbon Arc Gouging as well as SMAW
- Field install welds, including duct work, light fixtures, vents, fans, metal sheeting and other parts
- Complete mobile equipment repairs
- Box and bucket re-lines
- Select proper fillers for jobs based on previous experience or project instructions
- Coordinate with field labor crew for efficient installations
- Conserve resources whenever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction
- De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture
- Ensures that the work areas, equipment and work practices comply with the regulatory codes, statutes and company requirements
- Liaises effectively with colleagues and managers regarding various work situations and the activities within the department
