R&D Hardware Engineering Manager

Agility Robotics is seeking a hands-on Hardware Engineering Manager to lead a small team in building cutting-edge robotic systems. This role involves managing a team of 3-6 engineers, contributing to mechanical design and rapid prototyping, and owning mechanical subsystems end-to-end. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise and at least 3 years of leadership experience, passionate about designing elegant and functional mechanical systems.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 8+ years of mechanical design experience
• At least 3 years of technical leadership or people management experience
• Expertise in electromechanical system design
• Expert-level proficiency in CAD (PTC Creo preferred)
• Strong communication skills
• Experience designing, prototyping, and testing complex mechanical subsystems
• Willingness to be on-site in Salem, OR at least 3 days/week
