Patient Service Representative I

The Patient Service Representative I is responsible for providing customer service and ensuring the patient experience is exemplary. They coordinate clerical tasks, greet patients and visitors, and schedule appointments in a professional and timely manner.

Requirements

• Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors
• Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics
• Collects outstanding patient balances
• Obtains referrals and authorizations
• Scans incoming faxes and patient information
• Generates batch transmittal reports
• Facilitates patient flow and communicates with patients and clinical staff
• Schedules follow up services and office visits
• Responds to inquiries in a courteous manner
• Keeps medical office supplies stocked
• Protects patient confidentiality
• Ensures proper hand off of responsibilities
• Meets established attendance criteria
• Respects and acknowledges cultural diversity
• Demonstrates good use of time and resources
• Ensures medical records are accurate and complete
