We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our Service Team. The Service Technician is responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining irrigation, fertigation, mechanical, and basic electrical systems used in controlled-environment greenhouse operations.
Requirements
- Post secondary diploma or certificate in Electromechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technician, Horticulture Technology, Plumbing/Fluid Systems, or a related field, preferred.
- 2–5 years’ experience in one or more of the following: Irrigation or fertigation installation and service, preferred.
- Mechanical or electrical service in agricultural, industrial, or greenhouse environments
- Pump, piping, and fluid-handling system maintenance
- Experience with greenhouse equipment or horticulture facilities is an asset.
- Experience working with low-voltage systems preferred (within ESA guidelines).
- Valid driver’s license (required for work-related travel). Valid passport and ability to travel across the Canada–U.S. border
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Competent with reading drawings, technical schematics, and piping layouts.
- Knowledge of irrigation principles: flow, pressure, filtration, pumps, and fertigation equipment.
- Proficient with computers/mobile devices for reporting and diagnostics.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently in remote greenhouse environments.
