Aerial Lineman

ADB is seeking a Lineman to join our wireline aerial team and provide proficient manual laborer, cable placement, and equipment operations. This position will provide aerial installation of fiber optic cable for various telecommunication projects.

Requirements

• Provides mid-level aerial installation functions
• Proficient with utility print and map reading
• Has performed at least 2 years of independent aerial cable placement and installation
• Climbs utility poles and/or utilizes lift to place cable in adherence to print designs and maps
• Supports the setup and shut down of utility construction projects
• Trains alongside experience construction crews learning fiber installation, print reading, equipment operations, OSHA requirements, etc.
• Loads and unloads materials and equipment in from vehicles at construction yards and jobsites
• Acts as right hand to the Foreman, leads by example, ensures safety rules/regulations are followed, and can lead other’s on jobsites
• Performs OTJ training to with Foreman and/or Senior Foreman to grow and development technical and leadership skills
• Assists in identifying hazards by utilizing the pre-task process
• Performs other position duties when requested
