Electrical Design Engineer

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer who has experience with electronics design and product development, and can be part of an integrated team that rapidly develops new and innovative products for a wide range of customers in industries including Robotics, Life Sciences, Industrial, Consumer, and Healthcare.

Requirements

• BSEE in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with 5+ years’ design experience, including product development and PCB design.
• Schematic and PCB design using Altium Designer preferred.
• Microcontroller design experience and experience with communication protocols such as RS485, USB, ETHERNET, I2C, SPI.
• Hands-on system bring-up and integration with a cross functional team
• Capable of troubleshooting and utilizing bench equipment and measurement techniques.
• Collaboration with Mechanical Engineering teams and CAD tools
• Experience in one or more of the following areas desired:
• Hardware/software interfacing of motion control equipment including motors (steppers, servos, dc motors) and position sensors (encoders, limit switches, etc.)
• Cable design experience for motion
• Basic firmware development for embedded applications
• High vibration experience
• High reliability cable and PCBA experience
• Design practices for environmental/safety standards and compliance
• Experience with industrial controls a big plus (e.g. PLC, panel schematic/layout, wiring, safety systems)
