Job Description
The ACLU is seeking a Summer Undergraduate Intern in their National Prison Project to assist with research, advocacy, and litigation focused on conditions of confinement. The internship offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in prison reform, work with a diverse team, and contribute to the ACLU's mission of advocating for the rights of incarcerated people. Internship is remote or hybrid and offered between May 26th and June 8th.
Requirements
- Completed first year of an undergraduate degree
- Strong interest in the rights of incarcerated people
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Strong computer skills, particularly web-based research
- Future ACLU'ers will be committed to advancing the mission of the ACLU
- Center and embed the principles of equity, inclusion and belonging
