Patient Access Scheduler

The Patient Access Scheduler is responsible for ensuring patients are scheduled accurately and efficiently for services, using provided tools and guidelines. This role requires excellent customer service skills and close collaboration with clinical staff and other departments to meet patient needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Typing proficiency
• Bilingual in Spanish
• 1 year of experience in a medical setting or 3 years in customer service/reception
• Strong verbal, written, and active listening skills
• Ability to handle 50+ calls per day in a fast-paced environment
• Professional, personable, and committed to patient care
• Familiarity with office equipment and basic billing/insurance principles
• Flexibility to work alternative shifts, weekends, and travel to multiple locations
• Commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
