Job Description
This position involves performing hydraulic and hydrologic analysis for land development projects, water and sewer design, and regulatory compliance. The engineer will design projects, review reports, build permits, and ensure conformance to project objectives. They will also conduct site inspections and provide technical advice.
Requirements
- Perform H&H analysis for land development, water and sewer design, floodplain modeling, grading, roadway infrastructure and storm drainage systems.
- Review geotechnical, environmental and transportation reports.
- Design proficiently in AutoCAD C3D, HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS software.
- Assemble and process permits with local jurisdictions and FEMA.
- Perform computations for drainage basin grading requirements, hydrologic runoff rates, hydraulic capacities, and detention/retention facility sizing.
- Provide technical advice to peers.
