Job Description
This Outreach Specialist position serves as the primary initial point of contact for Veterans and their families, providing engagement, ongoing support, and navigating them through the Veteran's Services System. The role involves outreach activities, program assistance, and advocating for participants. It is part of the SSVF team, focusing on successful service delivery and program participation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to travel to outreach events and to engage Veterans
- Willingness to travel to various locations, including homeless shelters and VA locations
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours, including Veterans Day and occasional weekend hours
