Assistant Teaching Professor and Accreditation Officer, Education Studies

Skidmore College is seeking a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor and Accreditation Officer to join its Education Studies Department. This role involves teaching courses in elementary education, providing accreditation for teacher education programs, and contributing to the department’s initiatives. The position is renewable for 7 years, with an initial 3-year term. AAQEP accreditation is held and the role contributes to ongoing accreditation processes.

Requirements

• A minimum of a PhD/EdD degree in Education
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college and/or elementary level
• A robust commitment to undergraduate teacher education within a liberal arts context
• Experience with teacher education program accreditation
