Senior Data Engineer, GCP (remote Europe)

Senior Data & AI Cloud Engineer designing and executing complex data platform migrations from legacy cloud environments to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a seasoned data engineer
• 3+ years of deep, hands-on experience with the core GCP data stack
• Migration Experience: Proven, practical experience migrating data platforms from Databricks/Spark to GCP native services
• Data Transformation: Expert-level proficiency in DBT (dbt-core, dbt-bigquery)
• Programming: Advanced skills in Python (including pandas, numpy) and SQL (advanced queries, optimization)
• Infrastructure & DevOps: Strong, hands-on experience with Terraform for GCP and building automated GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow and/or Cloud Composer
