Job Description
Pattern Energy is seeking a Senior HVDC Construction Engineer to lead all aspects of HVDC project construction, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with design specifications. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, providing technical support, overseeing construction activities, and ensuring successful project completion. The company emphasizes a collaborative and innovative work environment focused on building trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with experience in HVDC design, construction, and operation
- 10 years or more experience as a Professional Engineer
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving, technical capabilities, and a self-driven work ethic
- Experience with HVDC system design including experience with converter valves, valve cooling, converter transformers, reactors/capacitors, and control and protection systems.
- Strong oral, written, and presentations skills.
- Ability to travel frequently.
